Indian Falls Creek serves as a week of evangelism, encouragement, restoration, and fellowship. Rev. Bobby Hodnett loved IFC and what happens there.
Each summer, he faithfully called Brother Victor to let him know that Little Pass Baptist Church from Louisiana would be attending. He would also donate funds to provide scholarships for others to attend IFC.
At his passing, Rev. Hodnett set up a scholarship program that has been utilized to bring campers to IFC for over eight years. Little Pass Baptist has been faithful to contribute to the fund in memory of their beloved late pastor.
Indian Falls Creek wishes to thank the Little Pass church family and all those who contribute to this fund each year. Lives are changed, people are called to ministry in the local church and beyond, and the fellowship of Christian brothers and sisters is strengthened.
Churches and groups are welcome to contribute to this fund, set up a similar In Memoriam fund, or contribute to the Capital Campaign for endowing scholarship funds.
Indian Falls Creek is committed to ensuring that anyone who desires to attend camp has the opportunity to do so. As part of that commitment, we offer a scholarship program to assist campers who have financial need.
This year, scholarships will be prioritized for children and youth ages 18 and under. Children ages 6 and younger will receive a full scholarship covering their $25 registration fee. Children, youth, and adults ages 7 and older may receive a partial scholarship of $32.50, which covers half of their registration fee.
Because scholarship funds are limited, we want to ensure assistance is provided to those who have exhausted other available resources. Before a scholarship can be awarded, the following requirements must be met:
-
An application must be submitted at least two weeks before the start of camp. Scholarships will be awarded in the order applications are received, with priority given to applicants who are 18 years old or younger.
-
The application must be signed by the pastor or church leader representing the church with which the applicant will be attending, as well as a parent or guardian for applicants under the age of 18.
-
The church represented on the application must certify that it is unable to provide financial assistance for the applicant’s camp registration. Applicants are also expected to seek assistance through their tribal nation or tribal programs, if eligible, before requesting scholarship assistance from Indian Falls Creek.
-
Applicants ages 13–18 who receive a scholarship will be required to complete four volunteer hours while attending camp. Recipients will be informed of volunteer opportunities upon arrival. Failure to complete the required volunteer hours will result in the recipient being ineligible to receive a scholarship the following year. If multiple recipients from the same church fail to complete their volunteer hours, campers from that church will be ineligible to apply for scholarships the following year.
-
Applicants who receive a scholarship remain eligible to apply in future years; however, first-time applicants will be given priority over previous scholarship recipients.
